Overview
We ship our live animals using United Airlines. They provide a same day delivery service to your closest major airport, where you pick up. Your baby arrives to you within hours of leaving our home. United Airlines animal cabins are pressure and temperature controlled to keep your baby comfortable during the flight. We have been shipping our live animals for over 10 years and it has allowed hundreds of families and facilities receive their babies when driving is not an option. For long distances, I believe it is safer and faster for everyone, than hours spent driving in the car.
Our Process
If you live out of state and you would like to purchase an animal. Once your deposit is placed, we will confirm a shipping date and send you an invoice for the balance on the baby and the shipping. Once the invoice is paid, the flights will be booked. We call the airlines and arrange all bookings and complete all paperwork necessary. Once the flight is booked we will send the flight information to you for final review via email. See below for future shipping dates.

How babies are packed
Weather, age, size and airline requirements are all things that I must consider before packing your baby for airline travel. I have many different shipping containers and kennels that I can use. I use my best judgment and pack your baby as spaciously as I can. Babies are packed with food and water or fruit. I pack enough food to last for at least 24 hours in the event of a delay. For animals going to colder climates, I send babies with 48hr heat pads.

Day of Shipping
I ship my flights out of Austin airport which is over an hour a way from my home. The babies are required to be checked in at least 2 hours prior to their first flight leaving. I put the babies in their kennels and take them into the airport for check-in. At check-in the flights are double-checked to verify that there are no current delays or changes and then left in the care of the United agents.

Tracking
You will be provided with your Airway Bill that you can use to track your babies on www.unitedcargo.com so that you will be aware of any changes or delays.

Pick-Up
You will know the time that your baby will be arriving. If all of the flights are on-time your baby will most likely be able to be picked up 25 to 45 min after the flight landing. The actual pick-up location varies by each airport. Some airports have a separate cargo building that the animals are transferred to off of the plane. While other airports pick-up could be at the ticket counter or baggage claim office. You will be provided your flights pick-up location within your flight confirmation email.

Cost
Shipping costs can vary but are typically within the $150-$200 range. Costs include United airline ticket, shipping container, supplies, paperwork preparation and handling.
